For wrinkles that you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable about, there is no need to have to endure them because there are cosmetic surgery options available that can work miraculous cures, and have your face looking the way that it should, with very little inconvenience and often the bill, or part of the bill can be covered by health care funding.
Cosmetic surgery for straightforward wrinkles and tired looking eyes, fall into two basic categories - which are wrinkle relaxers and also dermal fillers.
Wrinkle relaxers, of which Botox has become most notorious, are simply injections of substances which will cause the specific muscle injected to "relax". The effect of this is to release the tension in the area of the muscle which allows the skin to relax - releasing lines and wrinkles so that with the relevant muscle relaxed, the wrinkle will disappear. Deep wrinkles may leave traces of the wrinkle formation, but it will be a vast improvement upon the original situation and something that can also be disguised with suitable cosmetics. It usually takes a day or so for the muscle to relax completely and for the local area to become smoother with no tension from the muscle. On the face, wrinkle relaxers are most commonly used for the horizontal furrow lines that sometimes cover the brow, and for deep frowns above the nose, and for what are commonly called "crow's feet" which appear at the sides of the eyes. Treatments may last for up to six months and you will have to plan for a follow up session to maintain the benefit of the original treatment - unless in the meantime you have found a means of getting the muscle to relax by itself.
It is not easy to condition any of the muscles of the face to respond in a particular fashion - there are many muscles in the face and they respond in a very complex way - to active events, and to emotional feelings, and often have links to the unconscious thought processes - if the eyes are the mirror of the soul, then the face is a mirror of our emotions. Habitual facial expressions are very much part of our personality - so realistically, the easiest way to deal with muscles that are rigid and tense is to inject them with a relaxant and allow the surrounding skin to relax as well, so that wrinkles will smooth out.
Sometimes after multiple injections, the effect on a particular muscle can be more enduring, so that less frequent "top ups" are necessary in order to remain without frown lines and wrinkles.
Dermal fillers are products which again cause wrinkles to disappear - this time by adding substances to assist with re-hydration of the surrounding skin, and also providing support from collagen and elastin -two natural products each found in healthy skin - providing it with its shape and elasticity. Dermal fillers are relatively painless and are inserted under a local anesthetic. In this case you can expect the treatment to last up to twelve months before any follow up treatment may be needed.
