Chant For Health, Prosperity And Master Success

by Jonathan Louis Trapman

'In the beginning was the Word...' is a famous scriptural text, which has been understood, for many, literally. Sadly thought of as just that...a Word. However to create a spoken word entails, obviously, sound. Sound is vibration, vibration is a manifestation of energy.

I say obviously because it is important also to realise within that sound is resonance, meaning, implication and creation. It contains within it the power and stuff of life. Energy as creative principle. Yet how many of us are actually aware of the potency of the word/sound?

We are all familiar with the maxim...'A picture is worth a thousand words'... yet sound can shatter a glass, create ripples on water, destroy the sense of hearing, and manifest life. It has the power to heal, engender growth, encourage the development of love and alter the structure of buildings to name a few.

Heady claims you may say yet the ancient sages used sound for all these purposes and more. Trumpets brought down the walls of Jericho. Healers chanted invocations and healed the sick. Mighty stones were laid as pyramids using sound more than manpower. Chant masters today do the same, though using less of the destructive element, happily.

Nada Yoga is the science and practice of sound as healing and path to spiritual and material growth.

A mantra is a word or group of words that are chanted/sounded with focus and intention toward a known or wished for result or toward the veneration of an ideal. The sacred nature of chant is realised through ancient forms such as Sanskrit, repetition and the constant visualisation of an ideal within the sound. However the powerful nature of such chants are impregnated as much through intention that is incorporated into the invocation and its delivery. In other words the dedication and focus energises each chant so that through consistent repetition, a goal is created, visualised and realised.

Since energy is the stuff and fundamental of existence and from energy comes materialisation through sound, the potential in using sound for healing, manifesting prosperity and many other beneficial outcomes, becomes infinitely and utterly possible.

For those impatient to becoming rich, healing spontaneously or acquiring an end result right now, there lies a small impediment. The process of sound and chanting demands, by its very nature, the cultivation of patience and a letting go of predetermined results. Yet the degree of sincere and total dedication will by its very nature procure a result.

To some the lack of instant results may negate the whole process of chanting for success, wealth and happiness. For the wise though it just means creating the practice, keeping focused on the desired outcome and believing, trusting and mentally creating that result.

What do we mean by mentally creating a result?

It is the emotional connection to the outcome. Through the sound, the immersion into feeling the final outcome, the emotional connection to this future present, allows the resonance of that feeling nature to permeate the body, the mind and the whole being.

This emotional connection draws it from the conscious into the subconscious. The subconscious then acts through its sole purpose it is created to do - that is - to begin the process of manifestation through transmitting the intention to Formless Substance. Inevitably, the result is created.

This is the Word into action. The creative principle at work doing what it does best...create.

So by chanting and the use of specific and powerful mantras and chants the goal is achieved. As co-creators we manifest, merge and create. The wheel turns full circle.
